It is however, a good example of a Beaujolais cru famed for its fuller style and keeness to age. At this price we're really impressed by its complexity and length.

Peyros means 'stoney place' in the Gascony dialect, an excellent description of the vineyard as the soil is full of small stones left behind by glaciers. A delightful fruity nose of blackcurrants and crushed berries leads on to hints of spices, and a smooth and silky finish. Enjoy with grilled meats, oriental cuisine and cheeses.

Coming from the Las Moras Estate in San Juan, the conditions are ideal for growing vines and producing grapes full of flavour. Both tangy and refreshing, this wine is packed full of ripe apricots, melons and soft peach fruits with just a hint of honey. This is a lovely example with a full-bodiedness that makes it a delight to drink with white meats and fish in sauces.
