Bonterra's belief that the use of organically grown grapes make wines 'simply taste better' has fuelled their quest in becoming one of the world leaders in organic viticulture. In addition, Bonterra is one of the first wineries to have the Soil Association Certification for their wines. This formidable Zinfandel was 100% barrel fermented, resulting in a rich black cherry-scented wine with a lovely spicy finish.

Viognier-like aromas of ripe, juicy peaches and blossom develop on the palate, which is surprisingly full-bodied and crisp for a wine with such delicate aromas. Fruity, floral and yet still quite dry, this wine makes a wonderful aperitif but can also be enjoyed with seafood, smoked meats and medium to strong-flavoured cheeses.

Sixteen months oak ageing in both old and new oak barrels had added discreet spice to the rich, full palate. An excellent accompaniment to stews and casseroles. Awarded a Bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge 2004.
