Waiki Barrel Selection Cabernet 2005, Maipo Valley, at Majestic Wine
Situated among the foothills of the Andes, the grapes were hand picked from what was an excellent vintage. Deep burgundy red with aromas of ripe red berries and spices highlighted by touches of dried fruit and vanilla. Beautifully structured with mature tannins and a smooth finish. The perfect accompaniment to full flavoured, rich meat dishes.

Winemaker Christophe Sabon has set Jarnasse on the road to becoming the Beaucastel of the future. Tiny yields from old vines give this wine great intensity and purity of fruit, whilst capturing the nuances of the ?terroir'. An unusual blend of Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache this has ripe red fruits and herbaceous spicy flavours that make it ideal with all types of meat dishes.

Sarget de Gruaud-Larose 1997, St-Julien, at Majestic Wine Warehouses
The second wine of the renowned 2ème Cru Classé estate, Gruaud Larose, Sarget de Gruaud Larose shows all the hallmarks of the great St-Julien wine, but with a fruitiness that makes it more approachable when young. Showing fresh cherries and hints of spice on the nose, the palate is well-rounded, with finely structured tannins. Perfect with grilled meats.

Produced from grapes grown on low-yielding, old vines that give wines with more body and complexity than ordinarily expected from Beaujolais Villages. Deep purple in colour with intense, blackcurrant aromas. Soft, rounded and juicy on the palate, showing elegant berry fruit flavours and a hint of white pepper. Fantastic lightly chilled and accompanied by cold meats, poultry or pork.

Morellino di Scansano 2006, Lohsa, Poliziano, at MajesticWine
DOC Morellino di Scansano is an up-and-coming appellation in Southern Tuscany that produces 100% Sangiovese wines with an outstanding typicity and intensity, that offer an interesting alternative to Chianti. Showing excellent balance, this morello-cherry scented wine offers sufficient structure, tannins and juicy acidity to accompany a wide range of foods, particularly antipasti and meat dishes.
