A classic Burgundy from an estate founded in 1820. Made from vines with an average age of fourty years old, the wine displays subtly spicy, earthy fruit aromas of red berries and fruits of the forest. Sixteen months oak ageing in both old and new oak barrels had added discreet spice to the rich, full palate. An excellent accompaniment to stews and casseroles. Awarded a Bronze medal at the International Wine Challenge 2004.

Distinct minerally undertones are covered with layers of luscious passion fruit flavours, together with classic Sauvignon flavours of gooseberry and citrus fruit. Zesty and fresh, this wine will develop and mellow in the bottle beautifully over the next three years. Drink on its own as an aperitif or with salads and seafood.
